The couple later confirmed their relationship in a social media post on March 23. Trump, who recently played golf with Woods, gave his approval to the new couple.
Trump blames Russia probe for Don Jr.’s divorce
Donald Trump claims the Russia investigation contributed to his son Donald Jr.’s divorce from Vanessa Trump. Speaking from the Oval Office, the former president also shared his thoughts on Vanessa’s new relationship with golf legend Tiger Woods.
Additionlly, Trump says Vanessa and Don Jr. had a strong relationship.
The US president also described Don Jr. and Vanessa as a great couple before their split in 2018. He expressed sadness over their breakup, blaming the political climate at the time.
‘I happen to think the relationship with my son was hurt very badly by the witch hunt [about] Russia, Russia, Russia and all the c**p they put Don through,’ Trump continued.
“Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship. They have five incredible children. They broke up quite a while ago, which, to me, was very sad,” Trump added.
Trump recalls Tiger Woods personally breaking the news
Before going public, Woods informed Trump about his relationship with Vanessa.
“Tiger actually called me a few months ago,” Trump revealed.
‘I have a special, very good relationship with Tiger. I played golf with him a couple of times over the past month and he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete.
‘He told me about it and I said, “Tiger, that’s good.” I’m very happy for both [of them]. Just let both of them be happy.’
Vanessa Trump’s dating history after her divorce
Vanessa filed for an uncontested divorce from Don Jr. on March 15, 2018, in New York. Since their split, she has maintained a low profile, with no previous high-profile relationships before Woods.
Woods, 49, and Vanessa, 47, have been dating since Thanksgiving, according to sources. Both live in Florida, just 20 minutes apart in Palm Beach. They were spotted together at a golf tournament last month.

Tiger Woods informed his ex-wife about the relationship
Woods reportedly called his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, to break the news before it leaked.
“Her response at first was like, ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’” a source shared. “But she quickly accepted it.”
Despite their past, Woods and Nordegren remain supportive of each other. They keep each other informed about anyone spending time around their children.
On March 23, Woods posted romantic photos with Vanessa on Instagram and X.
