Kelly Osbourne and older sister Aimee Osbourne reunited at their dad Ozzy Osbourne‘s funeral after a years-long estrangement.

On July 30, the sisters gathered alongside their mom, Sharon, and younger brother, Jack, to say a final farewell to their rockstar dad, who died on July 22. The family was photographed at a funeral procession in the Black Sabbath member’s hometown of Birmingham, England, where fans lined the streets to honor him.

Kelly revealed that she wasn’t on speaking terms with Aimee in a 2021 appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Expert. “We don’t talk,” she said. “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.”

In 2015, Aimee also alluded to issues in her relationship with her siblings in a rare interview with The Independent. “I wouldn’t say there is an ease between us,” she said. “But there is an acceptance. Do we socialize? No.”

Aimee’s distance from her family dates back to the early 2000s when she moved out of the family’s Los Angeles home at age 16 to avoid appearing on their MTV reality show.

“Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?” Aimee told The Independent of her decision not to appear on the show. “I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.”

Aimee said she was the only member of the family who was against the idea of the show. “It didn’t matter what I thought, ultimately,” she added. “This was their path, their decision, and they were of course at liberty to take the opportunity. Which they did.”
