The POTUS broke his silence days after the former president’s cancer diagnosis — but it wasn’t what many expected. A recent repost on Truth Social has ignited a wave of online reaction and renewed scrutiny.
President Donald Trump has drawn significant attention following a repost he made on his Truth Social account on May 26, 2025. The post, originally written by conservative commentator DC_Draino, was first shared on the X platform on May 21, 2025.

The message in the post accused the former president, Joe Biden, and his administration of criminal actions. It read, “They stole the 2020 election and hijacked the country using a decrepit corpse as a frontman. They used an autopen to start wars, steal from our treasury, and pardon their friends. Arrest those responsible and charge them with TREASON.”
Trump’s decision to reshare the message, especially following recent reports about Biden’s cancer diagnosis, has caused a stir across multiple social media platforms.
The post contained a strongly worded critique, and while Trump did not add any text of his own to the repost, its timing and message quickly fueled widespread public reaction.
DC_Draino later reposted mentions of Trump’s action on X, sharing posts from other prominent conservative figures. One of these reposts came from Karli Bonne, while another was from the account known as Catturd, both noting that Trump had amplified DC_Draino’s original message.
The public’s response was sharply divided. On Facebook, comments varied in tone. One person wrote, “So, what! President Trump has been called everything under the sun.”
Another commented, “OMG this was so uncalled for [sic].” A third added, “How is this unprofessional behavior continued to be tolerated?! Unreal [sic]!”
On Instagram, reactions were brief but critical. One netizen stated, “Sad.” Another posted, “Disrespectful.” Meanwhile, a third mentioned, “Unclassy [sic]!”

On X, many responses supported Trump’s repost. One person said, “Donald Trump doesn’t lie. When he says something, he does it.”
Another opined, “He’s spot on.” A third urged, “Don’t just repost it. Get started investigating these folks and rounding them up!”
Trump’s recent post follows an earlier statement he made on May 19, 2025, on Truth Social, where he offered sympathy for Biden’s medical condition.

That post read, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
However, just two days later, on May 21, Trump issued a different tone in another post, sharply criticizing Biden’s presidency and accusing unnamed individuals of exploiting his alleged cognitive decline.

He stated, “Joe Biden was not for Open Borders, he never talked about Open Borders, where criminals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes, can flow into our Country at will… It was the people that knew he was cognitively impaired, and that took over the Autopen… This is TREASON at the Highest Level!… MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
These statements came in the wake of public confirmation of Biden’s health condition. Days earlier, a spokesperson for Biden had disclosed that the former president had recently been evaluated for a “small nodule” discovered on his prostate.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Biden’s personal office announced that the 82-year-old former president had been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones.
According to the statement, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

The statement added, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” It further mentioned that Joe Biden and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
In a post shared on X on May 19, Biden penned, “Cancer touches us all.” He added that he and Jill Biden “have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
The contrast between President Trump’s initial well-wishes and his later critical repost highlights the polarized nature of current political discourse. As Biden focuses on his treatment and recovery, reactions to Trump’s post continue to reflect deep divisions among the public and across social media platforms.
