Fans All Have Same Complaint About Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Series

Shortly after Meghan Markle announced her new Netflix series on Instagram, some royal fans voiced a familiar complaint: “This looks terrible.”

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared her excitement about her upcoming show, With Love, Meghan, writing, “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.” However, critics on X were quick to label her “entitled” for preparing meals that they claimed are unrealistic given current economic challenges.

The much-anticipated lifestyle series, teased in connection with her brand American Riviera Orchard last March, debuts on January 15. The trailer highlights Meghan in her Montecito kitchen, picking produce from her garden, and chatting with celebrity friends like Mindy Kaling, all set to The Lovin’ Spoonful’s Do You Believe in Magic.

While comments on Meghan’s Instagram post are disabled, reactions poured in on X. One user dismissed the series with, “Uh no thanks,” while another quipped, “Hard pass.” Some described the Duchess as “privileged” for featuring ideas like adding edible flowers to meals, which they deemed impractical for most viewers

However, not everyone was critical. Fans praised the announcement, with one saying, “You have made my day!” Others expressed excitement for future seasons and even vowed to re-subscribe to Netflix to watch the show.

Netflix describes the series as a blend of cooking, gardening, and crafting, emphasizing connection and joy over perfection. Featuring appearances by Mindy Kaling, chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters, and Meghan’s husband Prince Harry, the series offers candid conversations and moments of creativity

In the trailer, Meghan shares her philosophy: “This is about connecting with friends… We’re not in the pursuit of perfection, we’re in the pursuit of joy.”
