
Anne Whitfield, renowned for her performance in the 1954 classic film White Christmas, has died at the age of 85. Her family reported that the actress suffered an ‘unexpected accident’ while taking a walk close to her residence in Washington, D.C.
Whitfield played the role of Susan Waverly, the granddaughter of Major General Waverly, in the cherished holiday movie. Her family recalled her with affection, stating, ‘The life of Anne Langham Whitfield Phillips was a remarkable one, dedicated to enhancing the lives of others and making a positive impact on the world.’
